Our Vision
- To provide a place and resources for encouragement, refreshing, renewal, and relaxation for clergy.

Our Statement of Faith
- We believe in the Holy Scriptures as originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct; the triune God—Father, Son and Holy Spirit; the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, His substitutionary atonement for sin, His bodily resurrection, and His personal, visible return to earth to reign in righteousness and glory; the Person of the Holy Spirit and His work of conviction, regeneration and sanctification, Who indwells every believer, equipping them with gifts of service and witness; the necessity of new birth, in salvation by faith in Jesus Christ alone, and the importance of a life fully committed to the will of God in Christ; and the church as the one universal body of Christ Who is the head, called to be God’s redeemed people.

There are a lot of great "re" words for a retreat center to use: rest, renew, restore, reset, revive. As we were thinking through a "tag line" of sorts we knew we wanted to convey the idea of a place of rest and renewal. While we were tossing ideas around we came across a sermon from a pastor in Mt. Juliet. He had a series and used "reset" in the title. (I don't remember all of the details as I"m writing this, but we decided that a "reset" is exactlly what a lot of us need. The toils and troubles of life can get us off track. We need a time and a place set aside where we can rest in the Lord, and rest from work and rest.... and then we need to let the Holy Spirit work in our hearts and reset us. Reset us back to following our first Love. Reset us where again we are spending time in prayer and Bible study and looking to the Lord for - well, everything.
Then, after we have rested our bodies and minds and spirits, when we have reset our hearts and minds to the things of the Lord we can SOAR! We can do great Kingdom things! We are no longer struggling to do things in our own strength. We can now soar on wings like an eagle.
This is the main purpose of Eagle's Wing. To give you and others a place where you can rest, reset and then leave to soar above the troubles of life and live the abundant life that Jesus calls us to.
Rest. Reset. Soar!
"The Challenge of Pastoral Burnout" is an article from 2017 that talks about pastors burning out and how one group is working to help pastors before they burn out and drop out of ministry.
At Eagle's Wing, we also are working to encourage and support pastors. Having a place for retreat, refreshment and relaxation for pastors is one of the missions of Eagle's Wing Ministries, LLC is our plan. Our master plan includes cabins for a pastor retreat area and a small chapel and library. Contact us to see how you can help us in our ministry to pastors!

The CEO/President of Eagle's Wing is Lyndel Littleton. Lyndel is the Worship Pastor at Hilldale Baptist Church in Clarksville, TN. Many of the people at Hilldale have been a wonderful encouragement in the start-up of Eagle's Wing Ministries. To show their support and encouragement for this new ministry they had this beautiful sign made! Merry Christmas to Lyndel from the Hilldale Sanctuary Choir!
Eagle's Wing Ministries
It's a long story on how we ended up with a retreat center in our future. The ministry that was first put in our hearts was a ministry to clergy - pastors and denominational workers who need a time of refreshing, renewal or just a day or two of relaxation. Pastors and their families face burnout, failure (real or perceived, moral, financial or other) exhaustion and more. We want to provide a place and resources to minister to those who give their lives ministering to others.
It's probably no surprise that one of the verses that came to mind for people needing renewal would be Isaiah 40:31.
There are things that we can offer to those who need renewal - a restful, peaceful campground, a small chapel for a quiet place for Bible study and prayer, resources, a friendly smile and someone to share your burdens - things like that. But all of these are just ways to point people to Jesus. It is in Him that we find our strength, our peace, our comfort, our joy. Eagle's Wing Ministries' purpose is
- To provide opportunities for people to grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.
Clergy, pastors, men, women, teenagers, sr. adults - we want to encourage you and provide a place and programming and support for you to grow in your faith and in your relationship with Jesus. Come join us!
